Nebraska Athletics Partners with From Now On to Power Mobile Fan Engagement

LINCOLN, Neb. – The University of Nebraska Athletic Department, a member of the Big Ten Conference (B1G), has partnered with Omaha-based From Now On to deliver a new gameday mobile app for Cornhusker fans this fall.
“We’re excited to offer our fans a mobile experience that is going to greatly enhance their connection with Husker Athletics,” Executive Associate AD for Marketing & Communications Steve Waterfield said. “It’s great to partner with a local Nebraska company that has the tools to help us improve the gameday experience for the greatest fans in college athletics. ”
After spending the 2017-2018 season evaluating various app platforms in the market, Nebraska ultimately chose From Now On based on how their product and service offering met a variety of criteria, including:

Of the partnership, From Now On President & CEO Sue Thaden said “It’s hard to overstate how much it means to have this opportunity to serve University of Nebraska Athletics and Cornhusker fans. The new mobile app will be built by From Now On using their FanX™ Mobile Engagement Platform. The app will bring schedules, score alerts, live stats, student-athlete and coach profiles, venue information and promotional content directly to fans’ devices. Additionally, the app will feature free live game audio for fans for football, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and softball as well as social feeds, post-game video and more. Fans will also be able to listen to Nebraska’s nightly radio show, Sports Nightly, free on the app.
Thaden went on to share “We look forward to partnering with Husker Athletics and Husker IMG Sports Marketing this fall to help position the FanX Platform as a key part of their digital strategy. We believe our platform will provide a truly next-level mobile experience for their fans before, during and beyond gameday, while also helping them delight sponsors and provide valuable content and offers to Husker fans.”
IMG College, the multimedia rights holder for Nebraska Athletics, negotiated the partnership with From Now On.
The new Official Nebraska Huskers mobile app will be available for free download on the App Store and Google Play in early August and will feature all 24 varsity sports.
